Cocaine is one of the most commonly used drugs in Australia. Most of the time, cocaine comes in the form of white powder, and it’s often ‘cut’ or mixed with other substances, which can make the substance even more harmful than it already is. There is a variant that is known as ‘crack’ cocaine, and it comes in the form of white or off-white crystals.
Regardless of how it’s ingested, many people in Australia are struggling with cocaine addiction, and the rate at which it is used in the country has been slowly but surely climbing. It’s the second-most consumed drug, behind only cannabis.
But, while its use and subsequent addiction are becoming more prevalent, there are some treatments available for crack cocaine addiction. At Sivana Bali, we treat various substance use disorders, process addictions, and mental health concerns.
What Is Crack Cocaine?
Crack cocaine is a potent and highly addictive stimulant that gives users an intense feeling of euphoria and increases energy levels, making it appealing to those looking for a quick and intense high.
Crack cocaine is a form of cocaine that is made by taking cocaine and mixing it. Once it’s mixed, it is then heated. Once it cools down, cocaine crystals begin to form. The crystals are then dried to be used or sold.
In contrast to normal cocaine, which is snorted up the nose, crack cocaine is either smoked in a glass pipe or injected.
An Overview of Crack Cocaine Addiction
Crack cocaine addiction is a serious condition characterised by the compulsion to use crack cocaine despite negative consequences. Addiction to crack cocaine is associated with a variety of physical, psychological, and social consequences.
Physically, chronic crack cocaine use can lead to cardiovascular problems, respiratory issues, neurological impairments, and malnutrition because cocaine can suppress a person’s appetite. Crack use can also increase the risk of spreading diseases like HIV and hepatitis because crack users may share needles.
Psychologically, addiction can cause mood disorders, anxiety, paranoia, hallucinations, and cognitive impairments. Socially, individuals strain their interpersonal relationships and face financial difficulties, legal troubles, and social isolation.
Treating crack cocaine addiction often requires a comprehensive approach that involves medical intervention, behavioural therapy, counselling, and support services.
Some medications may be used to manage withdrawal symptoms and crack cocaine cravings, while therapy helps individuals address the underlying issues that contribute to their addiction and develop coping strategies to manage their cravings.
Support groups and community resources can also play a vital role in recovery as they provide encouragement, guidance, and a sense of belonging to those struggling with addiction.
What Our Crack Cocaine Rehab Includes
Our facility in Bali takes full advantage of Bali’s natural beauty. Some of what you can expect include:
Our Facility
When most think of drug rehab, they undoubtedly picture a sterile environment not unlike a hospital. Our facility, however, does not adhere to that imagery. Our centre is a large, resort-style villa with two swimming pools and lush tropical gardens. Surrounding the villa are serene rice paddies. Echo and Batu Bolong beaches are nearby should our guests want to experience Bali’s natural beauty.
Each of our guests has a private room equipped with an ensuite bathroom and a desk and chair. The linens are changed daily, and we have a full range of business and communication tools for those with professional responsibilities that they need to keep up with while they receive treatment.
Our meals can also be tailored to each guest, and our staff uses only fresh ingredients from the land and the sea to craft mouth-watering and nutrient-dense meals.
Our Modalities
A central tenet of our treatment for crack cocaine and other substances is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This form of therapy is collaborative and is focused on identifying and restructuring cognitive distortions that lead to self-destructive behaviours like abusing crack or other drugs.
Holistic Treatment Options
Because we believe in treating the spirit as well as the mind and body, our treatment for crack addiction will include holistic therapies. These therapies aim to foster balanced well-being and harmony between a person’s physical, emotional, and mental aspects.
Recovery Coaching
At our facility, our guests will be assigned a Recovery Coach. This Recovery Coach will be by their side during each phase of treatment. The Recovery Coach will give the client positive guidance in all aspects of their recovery and encourage healthy thinking and activities throughout their stay.

How We’ll Treat Crack Addiction
Our cocaine rehab is structured and tailored to each person’s needs. Here’s an overview of what our treatment looks like:
Assessment
The first part of our treatment for crack addiction is a thorough assessment. Our team will work closely with our guests to understand their struggles and nuances. This will allow us to craft a personalised treatment plan and determine the best rehab options for crack cocaine dependency.
Medical Detox from Crack Cocaine
One of the most important stages in the early part of luxury cocaine treatment is detox. During detox, all of the drugs will be purged from a person’s body. This can be uncomfortable and may result in a variety of withdrawal symptoms. For crack cocaine detox, withdrawal symptoms can include depression, anxiety, cravings, muscle aches, fatigue, insomnia, increased appetite, agitation, and cognitive impairments such as difficulty concentrating and memory problems.
While detoxing from crack can be an uncomfortable part of treatment, our medical staff will be there to offer support and make the process as painless as possible. It’s a necessary step in recovery as it ensures that a person on crack starts their time at a treatment centre as sober as possible.
Inpatient Rehabilitation for Crack Addiction
At the crux of our crack cocaine addiction treatment is our inpatient rehab, also known as residential rehab. While in our treatment facility, our guests will be in a safe, secure space wherein the only drugs they have access to will be medication that is supervised by our team.
While in our facility, our guests will engage in individual therapy sessions and attend support groups.
We also integrate physical fitness into our treatment plan. We will offer guided fitness routines, nutritional guidance, and restorative practices such as yoga and meditation to help our guests rebuild their strength and vitality.
We also believe in the power of spiritual healing, and our rehab programme can reflect that. We help our guests find purpose and inner peace with guided reflections, reconnect with nature, or explore mindfulness.
Our guests can stay with us for 28 days, 60 days, or 90 days. We also limit ourselves to 9 people at a time in inpatient treatment to make sure that all of the guests staying with us get the attention that they need to overcome crack cocaine abuse or other addictions.
Family Programme
Addiction can have a profound impact not just on a substance user but also on their loved ones. Our family programme not only helps to heal whatever damage may have been caused by addiction but also to educate loved ones about the nature of addiction and the recovery process.
Educating loved ones can be especially important. Many loved ones, while they have good intentions, can end up inadvertently enabling an addict’s unhealthy behaviours.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
It’s often the case that someone who comes to us with an addiction to crack cocaine also has a co-occurring mental health concern. This is because many people who have untreated mental health disorders often turn to drugs to self-medicate. Furthermore, crack abuse can exacerbate existing mental health conditions.
As such, it’s important to integrate mental healthcare into our treatment programme. Addressing the addiction without addressing an underlying mental health concern leaves a person vulnerable to relapsing.
Aftercare and Ongoing Treatment
With an addiction to crack or any other drug, relapse is always a possibility. It’s unrealistic to expect to complete inpatient treatment and never experience crack cocaine cravings again. Recovery from crack cocaine addiction may not look like a linear path.
Recognising this, we offer a Monitored Relapse Prevention Schedule as part of our aftercare services.
Drug use can also wreak havoc on a person’s professional life. As such, we have an Organisational Psychologist to offer career guidance and vocational counselling to help recovering crack users get back on their feet after their stay with us.
Type of Counselling in a Crack Cocaine Rehab
In any form of rehab treatment, behavioural therapies, especially cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), will be an important tool. CBT is a versatile type of treatment that can help people address the negative thoughts that can contribute to unhealthy behaviour.
Another behavioural therapy that can be used in crack rehab is dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). DBT was originally developed to treat borderline personality disorder or BPD. By helping people develop skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress, tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, DBT can help a person manage strong emotions without turning to drug use.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a form of therapy that can help in cocaine rehabilitation. Sometimes, a person’s drug use can be driven by trauma. EMDR helps people process traumatic memories and blunt their emotional impact on a person.
The Benefits of Private Rehab in Bali
There are several benefits to seeking treatment for cocaine in Bali. One benefit is that, given the lower cost of living in Bali, even luxury rehab is much more affordable than in a country like Australia.
Another benefit of seeking cocaine drug rehab in Bali over Australia is the distance it puts between you and your normal circumstances. There may be people or things in your life that may not be conducive to your recovery.
Coming to Bali for luxury cocaine rehab can help you focus on your treatment and develop skills to help you reintegrate into your community and manage your cravings.
We Want to Offer You Crack Cocaine Addiction Treatment
A person who uses crack cocaine can stop the use of the drug, but not by themselves. Trying to go cold turkey and just stop using will invariably lead to failure. This is because the nature of addiction makes it so that cravings are almost impossible to ignore without proper help.
At Sivana Bali, we want to offer you that help. Crack cocaine’s grip is strong, but you can break it.
